KYOCERA’s new entry-level Ecosys MFPs offer time, space and cost savings

Introducing KYOCERA’s new entry-level Ecosys MFPs, the : the FS-1020MFP, FS-1025MFP, FS-1120MFP and FS-1125MFP. In addition to their print, copy, scan and fax capabilities, the new models offer a low cost per page and the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in their class owing to the long-life components that the entire Ecosys range uses. This includes a 100,000 page printing drum, which lasts up to 60 times longer than those used by competitors, and a high capacity toner which prints 2,500-3,000 pages, double the capacity of other brands.

The four new models have been developed to fit into any workplace as can be seen by the attention to detail given to each element of the devices. For example, all KYOCERA models contain a unique and easily accessible Quiet Mode button on the control panel. In Quiet Mode the models operate at just 49dB for minimal workplace disturbance. Additionally, the ID Card Copy button automatically copies both sides of an ID card onto one sheet of paper and a 1-sheet Manual Feeder Tray (for the FS-1025MFP and FS-1125MFP) is ideal for printing prescriptions or small flyers.

Small and medium-sized workgroups often find space to be at a premium, therefore the size of the multifunctional device also needs to be taken into consideration by users. To minimise their potential intrusion, the new Ecosys models have all been developed to be as compact as possible, with the result that they have one of the smallest footprints in their class.

Even with all these features, the models all remain easy to use thanks to the KYOCERA Client Tool and printer driver. The printer driver includes a useful ‘Quick Print’ tab that needs just one click to change basic features: including page orientation, duplex, multiple pages and eco printing. And, the KYOCERA Client Tool utility also provides status monitoring, advanced printer configuration, driver configuration and documentation in a straightforward manner.

“The under 20ppm and 21-30ppm A4 black and white segments are the largest segments in the Central and Eastern European MFP markets, and they’re still growing,” explains Michael Powell, Product Manager, KYOCERA Document Solutions South Africa. “This growth provides KYOCERA with the ideal opportunity to expand its product range and bring KYOCERA reliability and quality to new, price-sensitive customers.”
